About the Millennium Fellow

Waleeyah Olalekan is a young resilient lady who is perpetually craving to pursue beneficial knowledge purely for personal growth and community development. She is a personal development tracker with major concerns in creativity, moderation and soft skills such as teamwork, effective communication, interpersonal relationships amongst others. She is a 200-level student at the University of Ibadan where she studies law and legal studies.
She has never constrained herself to the four walls of academic activities alone; she has been able to create a record of excellence and vibrancy in other spheres of extracurricular activities which cut across writing, journalism, public speaking, spoken words/ voiceover and environmental advocacy.

These are inherent in her active participations in organisations such as Union of Campus Journalists University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo Hall Literary and Debating Society, EcoVanguard Club University of Ibadan where she currently functions as the Public Relations Officer of the Club.
Waleeyah is the convener of Muslimah Writers' Hub (a community of Muslim sisters working together to remind themselves and other people of righteousness and other beneficial knowledge) with over 120 members within and outside Nigeria.
