" Collaborative efforts drive revolutionary change in whatever sector applied. Intelligence, solution-oriented thinking and team work are skills I need to hone, build and weaponise in order to achieve my goals of bringing quality drug education to foster better health practices in line with the United Nation's sustainable development goals. The MillenniumCampus Fellowship provides me with the platform to do all of this and much more. I really can't wait to see what I would become at the end of this programme. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Inform Our Communities

Project Inform Our Communities is a group project organized by 2022 Millennium Fellows of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. This is a project that addresses the ignorance on healthy living amongst several people in the communities around us.

It has been observed that this ignorance has cost several people their lives and has increased the death rate amongst them. We aim to educate these people on the right ways of healthy living and encourage them to conform to life-preserving activities.

During the Millennium Fellowship period (August – December 2022), Project Inform Our Communities (I.O.C.) will host a minimum of 3 outreaches to these communities.

These outreaches will include general health talks, mental health talks, roundtable discussions, and open mics.

We, the team of Project Inform Our Communities– are aiming to reach about 1,000 people for this event and we believe this project will soon advance globally.

About the Millennium Fellow

RerelOluwa Adeleye is a young, driven Nigerian tech and health-care enthusiast who envisions himself merging the best of two worlds by advancing the current scope of the pharmaceutical ecosystem in Africa using present day and future tech tools in the areas of research, formulation, development and education. He's currently an undergraduate student of Pharmacy at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where he's training to be adept in the pharmaceutical science. Through his junior and senior secondary school years he has witnessed how grave drug illiteracy can devastate the lives of an innocent and misguided populace. He sees beyond himself and expresses his concern for the well being of the less privileged through proper and effective education in line with the United Nation's sustainable development goals. He has organized and participated in outreaches that aim to properly educate the public. He arms himself with the virtues of diligence, tenacity, humility and honesty. He truly believes that nothing is impossible and aims to make his life's story proof of that.
