" Life will get better once people know the repercussions of what they do. I believe quality education and proper enlightenment are the best and most realistic ways to achieve that goal.

I am excited to be a member of the Millennium Fellows as i will now have access to an abundant number of resources to achieve my aim and also the quality connections it will grant me. I believe all of this would help my colleagues and i at the prestigious University of Ibadan on our mission to play our part in the road to making more people enlightened. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Inform Our Communities

Project Inform Our Communities is a group project organized by 2022 Millennium Fellows of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. This is a project that addresses the ignorance on healthy living amongst several people in the communities around us.

It has been observed that this ignorance has cost several people their lives and has increased the death rate amongst them. We aim to educate these people on the right ways of healthy living and encourage them to conform to life-preserving activities.

During the Millennium Fellowship period (August – December 2022), Project Inform Our Communities (I.O.C.) will host a minimum of 3 outreaches to these communities.

These outreaches will include general health talks, mental health talks, roundtable discussions, and open mics.

We, the team of Project Inform Our Communities– are aiming to reach about 1,000 people for this event and we believe this project will soon advance globally.

About the Millennium Fellow

Tawhid Aderinto is a young Nigerian who seeks to make the world a better place. He is an ardent believer in quality education, as he believes it is the only realistic method of reaching that goal. This led him to conceive "Wonderfully," a self-sustaining non-governmental organization that would give free education to those who couldn’t go to school.

Nonetheless, as he couldn’t implement the idea considering his background, he has pledged to dedicate his free time to volunteering for communities or entities that work towards education, be it western or vocational, mass enlightenment, and also teenage development. He currently manages a community that aims to help teenagers develop into responsible adults.
