" The skills I will gain from Millennium Fellowship will help me in improving my impact on the society. I am excited to meet the like minded people from different parts of the world and share our ideas and learn from them. Our environement and society these days is facing a crisis both physically and mentally,it is really heartbreaking to see people suffer and this is why I want to make the society a better place for everyone and Millennium Fellowship can help me get closer to my goal. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Vriddhi

This project focuses on providing financial education to all, especially women and LBGTQ+ community. Acoording to the survey that we conducted with 450 people which comprised of 350 females, 98 males, 1 demi girl and 1 non binary, to check their knowledge finances, only 14% women and 21% men were confident about their knowledge in this field. Only 27.28% females made their financial decisions independently as compared to their male counterparts who have a percentage of 50.53. This goes on to show that even though our society is progessing in terms of treating women and men equally and providing them their rights, women and people of minority communities such as LGBTQ are still a bit behind in terms of financial eduation and independence. Hence, project Vriddhi aims at providing important and necessary information in finance to them, so that they don't have to depend on someone else for this matter. This will also reduce their chances of being taken financial advantage of and help in increasing our country's economy as well.
