" "My country's youth teems with exuberant potential, much of which remains under-utilised and wasted in the face of impoverishment and social evil. I dream of a world where no little light is extinguished, no young souls put to rest without being given the opportunity to realise their potential. My ambition may seem like a pipe-dream for now, but I hope that, with time and effort, I will be able to bring my ideas to life." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Dua
Project Dua aims to spread medical awareness among people who do not have ready access to such information through means of mass communication. Besides educating people about the spread of air, food and water borne diseases such as Covid-19, typhoid, dysentery and the like, we also hope to inform them about contraception, maternal and infant healthcare and nutrition, and menstruation and the use of feminine hygiene products. In addition, Project Dua would provide ready information about availing medical services through government schemes and government-run hospitals, so that no one would have to feel the need to suffer due to lack of medical treatment for fear of being driven to worse conditions by large hospital bills. We also hope to host at least one health camp during the duration of the fellowship, with
We aim to start from the slum areas adopted by the the NSS unit of our college, slowly widening our impact through collaborations with similar NGOs.
