Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Parwaaz
Parwaaz is a community outreach initiative by the students of B.A. Program department of Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. We work towards creating a positive environment that help women to express their feelings and de-stigmatize mental illnes.s. It aims to assist students and society in normalising the discussion of mental health and reduce the stigma associated with it. The project wishes to promote help-seeking behaviours and emotional well-being practices and prevent suicide through individual education and outreach events. The real purpose of this project is to promote, restore and maintain positive mental health in society. The project also works for SDG (Sustainable Development Goal ) 3 i.e. Good health and well-being. We work towards creating a positive environment that help women to express their feelings and destigmatize mental illness.
About the Millennium Fellow
Aditi Shrivastav is a bright and optimistic 19-year-old pursuing her bachelor's degree in Psychology, along with Human Development and Family Empowerment from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. An adventurer by personality, she has had various interests and hobbies throughout different stages of her life so far. However, one interest of hers that remains constant is the desire to bring positive change to people's lives in whatever little way possible. Through her project, she wishes to bring mental health to the forefront of all discussions. She dreams of creating a safe space where anyone and everyone can be vulnerable without fearing judgement.
