" The world around us has the scope for significant development and growth, but this growth is hindered with fundamental issues which need to be resolved with a long-term solution. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are the first few steps that can be taken to reach a consensus. As a Millennium Fellow, I will be able to connect with other youth leaders around the world and further my goals and vision. I can use my learning to create a greater social impact. Therefore, I am very excited to learn from this opportunity. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Adhikaar

My project focuses on raising awareness and discussions on the Legal and Political Rights available to women in India. I want to initiate discussions focusing on the critical analysis of the existing rights and how they fall short in certain places. The main aim is to highlight what women want and how they feel changes can be made. Next step includes raising awareness and advocating for policy changes and considerations by organizing campaigns, workshops, seminars, and webinars to advocate for such changes. I truly believe to bring about some change even in our own community. Therefore, our primary target will be women between the age group of 16-30 years. The emphasis will be to include as many women as possible into the discussion and discourse of bringing about a change in the sphere of “Legal and Political Rights” in India.
