Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Agaah
So basically, it's a project that revolves around talking about various sex education and its aspects. More like understanding the concepts that are not included in the NCERT chapter class 8. It's like sharing information about every topic in such a way that is easy to understand and yet the readers do not feel uncomfortable. Another objective also revolves to eradicating the use of "explicit websites" for understanding, learning or finding answers to all the questions raised in teenage minds.
I still remember I was in grade 11th when I talked about an idea for a skit representation for some inter-school competition and I suggested how we could have incorporated sex education as a theme since most teenagers get the wrong idea from "internet and its wrongful sources". My Teacher shamed me in front of every team member announcing that I have a 'spoiled mindset' which would result in my academic marks and I have become a less disciplined student with wrong thoughts.
This project would try to amend society and its taboos related to the concept of sex education. And educate the young minds of the nation, who are gonna be the future of the country. To educate them how sex is more than the mere definition of sex we have read. To educate people that how it shouldn't be taboo to hush and whisper in ears!
About the Millennium Fellow
Kirti Mondal, a bong girl, who likes to start her day with a strong black coffee and newspaper on the other hand. Currently pursuing a bachelor's from the University of Delhi and aspires to become people's voice. From a young age, she has learnt to live life on her terms and to do right by everyone. Helping others is not a privilege it's a choice is something that has been inscribed in her by the family that she has i.e, her mother.
She wants to justify the meaning of existing in the world, it definitely is more than just breathing. She wants the travel the world but mostly carry her home within her heart.
