" I'm passionate about spreading mental health awareness. In India and many parts of the world, the term mental health is not given equal importance as physical health. There are all possible treatments and medicines for physical ailments but the stigma attached with mental health makes it's issues worse. I have always worked towards spreading awareness and with the help of MCN I'm looking forward to take a step towards my ambition. "

Parwaaz is a community outreach of BA program of Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. It is a student initiative to spread mental health awareness among college students through various events.
About the Millennium Fellow
Niharika is an insightful, energetic and dedicated towards helping people with mental health issues. She is a student of Psychology at Indraprastha College for Women, University of delhi. She was born in Himachal Pradesh, India. She is passionate about spreading awareness about mental health disorders among people in India. Helping people and working with mental health clubs and NGOs is what motivates Niharika to work ambitiously towards her passion.
