NOOR project, a community outreach program of my college that helps educate underpriveledged kids, spread general awareness and rehabilitate manual scavengers.Project Noor is all about imparting quality education to underprivileged children. It not only focus on academic learning but also inculcate moral values in the children of their communities. The Fellows have recently started focusing on adult literacy as well. The volunteers from campus go to field visits every alternative day for two hours wherein the children are taught in open areas. But due to the pandemic, they are shifting their focus on virtual platforms where they are sharing YouTube lectures with the children and the team is in constant touch with them through Whatsapp groups. offline classes may begin soon if the situation permits. The project has three teams: research, creative and education. The education team focusses on fieldwork and teaching the kids. The research team focusses on finding resources and scolarships to aid higher education and funding and designs awarness campaigns. The creative team handles social media and suggests ideas to make the journey more interesting for the kids.
