" Empathy, social justice, equality are some of the things that drive me to work and the SDGs set up by UNGA includes the goals that I wish to work for and achieve. Being a Millennium Fellow will help me turning this hope and wish into a reality through professional level and will help me to reach larger number of people. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Avyanna

The project that I hope to begin in August would be based on educating women around my campus regarding their rights, the laws made for them in the national as well as global level and intersectional feminism. It is often seen that the laws are often complex and are not reached to the women at the grassroot level and in order to make them aware of their rights, through my project I would want to raise awareness. At the same time, this project would cut across educating women of not only educated background but slum areas as well. I also aspire to raise awareness regarding sexual harassment of children in the slum areas and educate children about 'good touch and bad touch'. Gender equality, awareness programs for children, legal literacy would be the main theme of my project.
