Millennium Fellowship Project: UNGAPPED US

In this project, I am planning to remove the increased gap between rich and poor. I
know it's not a task that can be completed in just August to December but we take a
projected number to help them no matter whatsoever.
So I think the root cause of every problem is poverty but the cause I envision here is
increased inequalities- it is a result of all the problems one can think of this gap
continue to widen, What I am proposing is we will reach out to 50-100 Houses.
Considering one house as an individual entity we will try to raise their income level,
educational level, reach to good health level.
(Example) (May involve different case scenario)This would be done in the following
way-Suppose in a family there are 5 members - Mother, Father, One Sister(Age10),
One Brother(Age 10) and Another brother(Above 18).
This family lives in a tent no member has ever attended school and the father does the
unskilled work. We will approach this family under 'Ungapped Us'. We will collect the
info on how do they earn, what is there current income level and like that. Then we
will, first of all, help them have the essential social documents without which you can't
have any benefit. After having that we will enrol both the sister and brother aged 10 to
get enrolled to the nearest government school and have all the clothes books, bags as
provided by the government. Then we will have the Father, Mother and Son(Aged
above 18) enrol themselves in 'Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana' nearest Training Centre. We will have them learn the skills through which they can earn money in the
formal sector with their skill. Then we will have them enrolled on the 'National Food
Security Card' through which they will be given food for sustenance. Supposing all the
families we approach are BPL then we will approach the jurisdictional government on
available housing issues and if possible a house for them could be made available to
the government. Then we will have them insured health-wise at government expense
under the ' Ayushmaan Jan Arogya Yojana'
We will take this project on Two fronts first either fieldwork or Research on that
selected population and submission of that research report to government authorities.
We might pursue both in a Non-Covid Situation at that time.
Our primary goal is to reach out to people of a selected area and help them to come
into the mainstream. It might involve different strategies but the main goal is capacity
building and reducing inequalities through skill development and all other measures.
