Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond Plastic
We aim to spread awareness about climate change and the hazardous effects it can have on human life. We plan to clean the beaches and donate the collected plastic for recycling and promote sustainable practices at the college level- like waste management using 6 different dustbins, forming telegram/Whatsapp groups to keep the readers/students in the loop reminding them that climate change is not a hoax. We'll try to do deep research on fast fashion on our college campus via various surveys and write a research paper on how this industry is contributing to environmental pollution. Additionally, we plan to plant more trees around the college campus and use RTI to know about govt steps to control climate change, encourage people to do a regular PUC check for their vehicles, and conduct webinars on promoting sustainability, circular economy, and veganism.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sahaj Singh Saluja is a Senior Economics student at Mumbai University's Prestigious Jai Hind College (Autonomous). He is a passionate person with an aim of achieving new heights in his life. He holds an interest in Data Analysis, Digital Marketing, Technology, the Stock market, Entrepreneurship and is open to various new opportunities to learn.
He is a self-motivated, versatile person who carries an optimistic attitude towards life. He believes in himself and takes his success and failures in a balanced way.
