Millennium Fellowship Project: Bend the Trend

Bending the trend is a joint project by the Jos University Teaching Hospital fellows that seeks to address issues bordering wholesome bealth, quality education and gender equality. This project seeks to reinstall the eroded value of education in line with SDG4. With emphasis on health education, Gender equality and, sexual abuse in keeping with SDG 3 and 5. The project will actively engage 400 students in a selected public secondary school in Jos, geared towards bringing a shift in attitudes to learning, discuss issues relating to education as a tool to combat Gender based violence and gender inequalities. And also to encourage wholesome approach to health.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mbamaonyeukwu Louis Ifeanyichukwu is a bright, young enthusiastic medical student. Louis was born and raised in Jos the Plateau State Capital, North Central Nigeria and is currently studying at the university of Jos. He is passionate about rights of children and abhors sexual exploitation of the said group. He has held several leadership positions and hopes to become a seasoned professional who would continue to impact his community and the world via the sustainable development goals (SDG).
