About the Millennium Fellow
Addah Saggy is a brilliant, intelligent and a God fearing globally competitetive education student at the Kenyatta University in Nairobi Kenya. She takes a Bachelors of Education Arts English and Literature. She was born in Mfangano island in the Great Lake Victoria Kenya to peasants farmers. She is the third born in a family of six. She has grown up as a partial orphan after she lost her father in 2006.Life has been difficult but she was born a leader. A resilient girl with a lioness heart. She is a leader and knows the value of Education and discipline and the place of mentorship in shaping one's life. She is a product of such. It's been her wildest dream to be an icon of change to the young peole in the global world. She has a yearning to visit the unreached and offer education that changes not only the mind but the heart of young people. She is a Founder of Imani Girls Foundation in Mfangano island. She started this after Highschool to engage young people in the island, sharing life experiences and teaching them topics such as, self awareness, drugs and substance abuse, saving, academic excellence, hygiene, spiritual growth just to mention but a few. She is glad and ready to team up with other young people to bring an impact in building up leaders of tomorrow with sustainable development mindset. She patiently waits to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Goals in every way possible.
