Millennium Fellowship Project: TaKKaSoRT
TakkA sort is waste segregation initiative aimed at improving on the convectional waste management system which consist of general waste collection, this has greatly hindered waste recycling resulting to stock piling of waste material on dumps sites.
About the Millennium Fellow
Fredrick Kariuki is a senior studying agricultural and biosystems engineering at Kenyatta University. He is passionate and cares deeply about the environment, and is enthusiastic about working on initiatives that advance global sustainability as he believes in a sustainable, tranquil, and prosperous way of life for all citizens of the world. Additionally, he has participated in several tree-planting activities and other climate change awareness campaigns on his campus as a Kenyatta University Climate Ambassador.
