United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

As a medical student, I believe that I am at a good position to combine the skills acquired during this program with the knowledge gained in classes to create awareness on healthy living and promote accessible health care to society. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Love and Health

It is a project that touches on improvement of accessibility and affordability to health care among the poor people in the community. This is by providing and easily paid insurance program in addition to mentorship programs to improve social status.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jane A. Merinyo is a Kenyan student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Medicine and Surgery at Kenyatta University. She was born to Kenyan and Tanzanian parents. Throughout her life she has been involved in leadership roles that impacted her surrounding positively. She has participated in a number of activities that advocate for healthy living and provision of accessible and free medical care. She understands that majority of Kenyans lie below the poverty line hence face various constraints to access of healthcare. Therefore,Jane Merinyo desires to execute the United Nation's SDG 3 by helping the less fortunate afford medical services.
