Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Kenya
My Project is advancing towards creating green Kenya. It contributes to the attainment of the Kenya forest coverage goal of 10% forest cover within the kenyan border. We have tree nursery with in Kisii University compound where we raise seedlings. We pot seedlings in to potting bags filled with soil and manure we place them on to the seed bed where we water them on regular basis and when they mature for planting we plant them at the primary schools in our area and even we plants trees for peace in other provinces in Kenya. Alongside tree nursery we also collects plastic be it disposed in water bodies or in town centres and we make them usefull again by Making aerial gardening, footstool and decorations.
About the Millennium Fellow
My name is Naffutali Gitau Njoroge , I am twenty one years old, a Kenyan nationality by birth and a third year student in Kisii University Main campus persuing degree of bachelor of arts in Mass Communication, Media and Journalism. My biggest dream is working with United Nations.I am the first born in a family with my mum and my two siblings. I am very passionate on humanitarian response and that's why i was so fast to apply for this golden opportunity. I am so glad and committing to do my best and give my energy to the projects to ensure that I achieve the best in my strive to make the world a better place than I found it. I am ready, determine and dedicated to accomplish the sustainable development goals
