" I am very passionate about delivering quality and accessible Health services to anyone without discrimination. I believe these are attainable goals yet our communities still lack most of these services. Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will empower not just my medical knowledge but my social skills and collaborative approaches to matters that will help me execute what is needed as well as connect me to like minded people who will help me bring about transformational change in my community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Medical & Community Outreach

The project's main goal was to provide free medical care in the impoverished community of Kasambira in the Jinja region, which is afflicted by rising malnutrition, infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, teen pregnancies, etc.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jemba Micheal is a young, brilliant and passionate final year medical student at Kampala International University-WC. He was born and raised in Kinubi, Jemba's experiences both growing and throughout his clinical practice during his training have pushed him to become a vibrant and committed advocate for community empowerment and outreaches due to poor health service access and delivery to the people in his community.
Through his outstanding leadership he has organized several community outreaches and free medical camps to people in remote villages. He aspires to use the skills and knowledge he has attained from medical school to foster his advocacies further to provide his own contribution in the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals
