Millennium Fellowship Project: Antimicrobial Resistance Advocacy and Research Project
Reaching out to people in the community and educating them about safe usage of antibiotics and avoiding self prescription as well as sharing medications of others to prevent the increase in cases of Antimicrobial resistance in the community
About the Millennium Fellow
Ajeru Patricia Aketoko is a passionate, intelligent and dedicated young woman who was born in Uganda, Kampala and currently lives in jinja. I am a 5th year medical student at Kampala international university western Campus. Right from my time as a university freshman I have always been passionate about global Health particularly the public health sector due to my past experience with serious consequences arising from Antimicrobial drug misuse from the community. I believe with my leadership skills and passion I will be able to create a positive impact in reducing the globally increasing case of Antimicrobial drug resistance starting with my very own community and nation. I'm thrilled and greatly honored to be given the chance to interact with brilliant young passion people in this program.
