" People have a lot to learn from each other. As someone who enjoys interaction immensely, I think every person gives me a new perspective. Since the Millennium Fellowship provides an environment full of people passionate about doing something for the world and making a change for others, I believe that it will improve my vision. Also being a part of Millennium Fellowship will enhance my leadership skills while developing my knowledge about UNAI principles and United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mattered Lives

There are various associations in Turkey that collect donations via Instagram upon various notifications sent to them and work to ensure that stray animals are treated and found a home. However, since they do not progress through unity, the group that each of them provides credibility to is also limited in number, and therefore they have not reached the capacity to fully meet the needs of stray animals in need of help. In my opinion, creating a platform (website, application) where these associations and these notifications will be gathered in the same environment and where the donations are used in the treatment of which animal, and how the donations are shared with the public in a more transparent way will create a more effective process. In addition, various activities related to stray animals can be announced on this website/application. Furthermore, I think that this platform can be used to educate children and young people and to raise awareness for them. In order to achieve this, there will be many courses such as "first aid for stray animals" and the members can earn points as they complete these courses, and with the points they earn, they can earn food from the contributions of various sponsors and individual donors of the platform. (to use the food he/she earns to feed street animals) Whit the help of this project, more stray animals' can be reached, and awareness can be created starting from a young age in order to break the prejudice in society.
