Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate And Environt

Sustainable development is the pathway to the future we want for all. It offers a framework to generate economic growth, achieve social justice, exercise environmental stewardship and strengthen governance.
As an advocate for Sustainable Development Goal 13 ,
I decided to do a project focusing on environmental Sensitization and sanitation with the title, 'Climate and Environt'. The theme of this training is Navigating SDG 13. This project was held for four days and it was an hybrid session. We had over 120 participants in the training and about 50 were certified for active participation during the training. The course introduce participants to SDG 13, global warming, effect of global warming, and we also proffer relatable solutions so everyone can start to take action as it relates SDG 13.
Our main focus from the training is to Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters in all countries,
Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and planning
Improve education, awareness-raising and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning
Implement the commitment undertaken by developed-country parties to the United Nations,
Promote mechanisms for raising capacity for effective climate change-related planning and management in least developed countries and small island developing States, including focusing on women, youth and local and marginalized communities.
