Millennium Fellowship Project: Education: A Tool to Alleviating Poverty
Education; is a tool to alleviating poverty.
“Education is a powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty, improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability.”
Our project was based on UNAI Goals 1 and 3, which are: addressing poverty through education, and Education for All, ensuring educational opportunities for all regardless of gender, race, religion/ ethnicity.
After deliberating on this, we came up with a project title that will address both goals at the same time during the project we spoke extensively on the project Title, enlighten the students on SDGs, and career choices after secondary school and had a quiz session where all participants were given a certificate.
About the Millennium Fellow
Abdulsaheed Temidayo is a 500L medical student at ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, he is a global health advocate who has spent his undergraduate days trying to promote good health in his community, He currently serve as the president of his medical student association, where is has been able to promote good health practice in ogbomosho and its environs
