Being a Millennium Fellow will give me an opportunity to perfectly align these tools to the UNAI and the U.N sdgs while I continue to deliver it to young people around the world. Also, the skills I acquire from the program will enable me be a better global leader myself. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Education: A Tool to Alleviating Poverty
Education; is a tool to alleviating poverty.
“Education is a powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty, improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability.”
Our project was based on UNAI Goals 1 and 3, which are: addressing poverty through education, and Education for All, ensuring educational opportunities for all regardless of gender, race, religion/ ethnicity.
After deliberating on this, we came up with a project title that will address both goals at the same time during the project we spoke extensively on the project Title, enlighten the students on SDGs, and career choices after secondary school and had a quiz session where all participants were given a certificate.
About the Millennium Fellow
Oluwatimilehin Bello is a young, visionary and growth minded medical student at Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria. He was born in Lagos Nigeria and currently resides in the same state.
Timberland, as he is fondly called, is very passionate about personal and people's developmentand has always seized every opportunity available to grow himself so as to add value to everyone in his network. He also is a creative writer who takes a thoughtful look at pressing world problems and provides logical, workable, and replicable solutions to these problems based on the fundamental principles of life.
He continues to push himself and others to others to improve themselves and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
