Millennium Fellowship Project: Education: A Tool to Alleviating Poverty
Education; is a tool to alleviating poverty.
“Education is a powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty, improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability.”
Our project was based on UNAI Goals 1 and 3, which are: addressing poverty through education, and Education for All, ensuring educational opportunities for all regardless of gender, race, religion/ ethnicity.
After deliberating on this, we came up with a project title that will address both goals at the same time during the project we spoke extensively on the project Title, enlighten the students on SDGs, and career choices after secondary school and had a quiz session where all participants were given a certificate.
About the Millennium Fellow
Patrick Adesina Oyedele is a creative, intelligent and lively young impact maker. He is currently studying at the prestigious Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. For as long as he could remember, Patrick has always been passionate about improving the lives of people and restoring seemingly destroyed destinies back to their correct state. He is really passionate about the concept of wholistic medicine, digital creativity, and global peace and health.
Wherefore, he actively participates in social impact projects and he has taken up rigorous leadership roles to see that people live their best lives - honouring God, blessing humanity and fulfilling their dreams. Patrick aspires to help people, in every community in his nation and beyond, lead their best lives; in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
