Millennium Fellowship Project: BACK TO THE SOIL
I am a senior student at the University of Liberia reading general agriculture with the passion of fighting food insecurity. I have a back yard garden which I am using to grow various soup kinds. My engagement into Backyard garden in my local community as an agriculture student has provided approximately ten (10) household with various soup kinds. This backyard garden has served as an aid for many needy neighbors for soup consumption. I also encourage my neighbors to engage into agriculture by distributing seeds and seedlings to them. Base on the cost of seeds on the local market, I only distribute seeds that I generate from the garden after harvest. This idea have enable many neighbors to create their own backyard garden which is reducing their daily expenses on food and also helping with income after greater portion are sold.
