" "My passion and dedication fuel me to work towards social change. The skills I will gain at the Millennium Fellowship will help me advance the cause I most believe in-Quality Education for all. There is no weapon like education and
as one big global family, the onus is on us to lead by example and empower each child." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Vidya
Education is a privilege, something we all have realized by now. Project Vidya will provide free, after school classes for underprivileged students. These classes will be conducted for primary level students associated with an NGO, and help them in subjects such as english, math and science. Given that these students do not come from affluent backgrounds, they lag behind despite being enrolled in good schools.
These classes will basically provide the students with the extra support that they need, to perform better in school.
The aim of this project is thus, to simply ensure that the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) students get adequate help and that they are not forced to drop out due to their socio-economic status. The vision will be to to contribute towards providing 'quality education' to as many students as we can. We will start with smaller batches and gradually expand.
