United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project BeYou

In short, project BeYou aims too cover the rights of marginalised genders that is the women and the LGBTQIA+ and work towards their empowerment by conducting donation drives and putting up stalls in various events conducted. This also includes, conduction of field research, getting first hand information in order to get a clear picture and the marginalisation, stigmatisation, working towards breaking the set gender norms and thus, breaking the shackles of stereotypes. Along with this, we have also taken up the crucial topic and issue of climate resilience as our secondary aim, in collaboration with various other projects and sub-projects from the campus.

About the Millennium Fellow

Saloni Aseng Yomdo is a final year student currently doing her majors in history from Lady Shri Ram college , university of delhi. For as long as she can remember , Saloni has always loved to sing and dance and believes that she is incomplete without the creativity aspect that she embodies. She does not consider herself to be an intellectual , but rather as someone who is extremely hardworking and determined when it comes to achieving her goals , irrespective of how big or small it may be. Through this project , Saloni is all set to show the changes that an individual can make in order to bring in positivity, sustainability and equality amongst all.
