UNITED NATIONS ACADEMIC IMPACT AND MCN PROUDLY PRESENT DILIETH BORGES VALERA, A MILLENNIUM FELLOW FOR THE CLASS OF 2022.
Lynn University | Florida, United States | Advancing SDG 5 & UNAI 4
" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will give me the opportunity to collaborate with other individuals on how to expand SDGs. As well as open my way of thinking to other fields and different forms where creativity and adaptability can be utilized to reach our goals and enhance our social impact. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Role Models Against All Odds
I plan to collect the biographies of different female role models into one book and distribute them in Caribbean countries. The book will encompass diverse stories in which young girls will be able to find roles models in fields such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, politics, and activism.
The book will be accessible both as a hard copy and an electronic one. I will collaborate with organizations working towards empowering young women in the area to facilitate the process of delivering this material. Also, I'm going to check the gender equality index in the countries that I'm considering working with so that the project can carry more weight.
