About the Millennium Fellow

Caren Jepkosgei Maiyo is a bright, hardworking, young and ambitious economic student born in Kenya and a Kenyan citizen. She is studying in Maseno university, pursuing a degree in Economics with IT. She has always been passionate about social work and environmental caring since she was in high school. This was inspired by her environmental club where she learned the importance of environmental caring and social work, how the planet needs us. She aspires to be an example to the young who have dreams to care for the environment, social justice and motivation to many on the importance of a clean and good planet. As Henry David said" What is the use of a house if you have not got a tolerable planet to put it on". The planet needs us and we need it.
