About the Millennium Fellow
Melvine Mideva Mbalitsi is a smart, approachable,social and understanding education student at Maseno University in Kenya.She was born in Kenya,resides in Vihiga County.Melvine has always had compassion and focus on developing others and the society at large.Her main focus has always been on the women gender though she also stands out for the male gender.Gender violence and sexual harassment being her main focus.
In high school she did not have the courage to step out and express herself due to lack of confidence,but recognised what she was meant to be at the university after a harassment encounter from a varsity worker.Her role model being her highschool teacher ,Madam Carolyne and doctor Karen Nyangara.Her ambition is to continue in the future and create a strong empire of youths who can stand out and speak for themselves.
Melvine aspires to be a great teacher,a field that will help her reach out to adolescents who shy away from speaking out what they undergo in the name of no one lends then a listening ear.She believes and trust that through God,she will greatly contribute to the development of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals.
