Nasreen K Basheer is a bright young student pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering at Government Model Engineering College. Working on campaigns about gender, queer rights, child rights, and other issues broadened her horizons and exposed her to real-world realities. She has also witnessed numerous instances in her community where women are denied a voice in decisions affecting their education, careers, or marriage. The deep roots of toxic masculinity and patriarchy are difficult to overcome, but starting small and early is critical. She aspires to make a difference in all of these fields one step at a time, and being a Millennium Fellow is one of the best ways to do so.
