" Millennium Fellowship is a medium through which it empowers individuals to raise their voices over relevant topics. This will help me take my interest in International Relations and Regional Studies further. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Nuclear Disarmament and Human Development

The Youth For TPNW is an independent, youth-led, global movement, calling for a world free from nuclear weapons.
Volunteers believe that a more peaceful world is possible, and that young people should be the powerhouse of the movement. We believe in the power of youth in seeking peace. We pursue youth representation in peacemaking and promote intergenerational dialogue. We are inclusive and collaborative. We welcome young people from all over the world with all kinds of backgrounds.
Alongside our partners, we organised the Youth MSP for the first Meeting of State Parties of the TPNW, which took place in June 2022. This event brought over 130 young people to the MSP (online and in person), platformed young voices, and opened up space for discussion about the future of youth engagement with the movement.
The Youth MSP brought together more than 130 young people from around the globe with a passion for nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. The Youth for TPNW delegates brought expertise in advocacy, policy, creativity, campaigning, law, and many other fields.
The Youth MSP took place in person and online. The in-person event saw around 90 young delegates at the Austria Center on June 21 2022 for a day of workshops, talks, advocacy and planning. Online participants took part in a series of workshops and were able to contribute to discussions taking place in Vienna.
Youth for TPNW is only a year old, but we are proud of the work we’ve done so far in bringing young voices into the discussion around disarmament, nuclear policy, and the TPNW. There is plenty of work to do, and we can’t wait to grow as a community. We feel that the first Youth MSP gives us a strong position on which to build and diversify our portfolio as a community and a movement.
