It was a project to use the fitness center based in campus as a form of releasing stress among fellow students by improving the facility by looking for better machines for working out for mental health.

About the Millennium Fellow

Abdalla Fadhili Abdalla is a humble and hardworking student at Moi University where he is pursuing a degree in Mechanical,Production and Energy Engineering. Born in Mombasa, Kenya, he has always been a person to explore the society around him without limiting his scope. In his Sophmore year in Highschool, he received a competitive scholarship award to participate in a one year exchange programme in the United States of America courtesy of the AFS-YES (American Field Services-Youth Exchange and Study) programme where he was hosted by a wonderful volunteer host family that really helped mould him into a better individual. Upon travelling back to his country after the exchange programme, his will to help the society was sparked to the next level where he helped improve his society in a number of ways especially in bridging mental and physical health through fitness and counselling activities. Otherwise, Abdalla enjoys swimming, weightlifting, biking and cooking. He is really thrilled to be selected as a Millennium Fellow in the class of 2022 and looks forward to learning and gaining a lot that will help better the society and help achieve the United Nations sustainable development goals
