Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness
The aim of this mental wellness program is to assist students, staff, and any other person suffering or willing to be counseled. Now that depression and other related mental health problems are disturbing students and even leading to loss of life, I saw it's important to work on this program. The goal of this program is to improve the health of people through a peaceful and conducive environment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Lawrence Gitonga is a young, energetic, and optimistic scientist. He studied BSc.In mathematics and computer science (statistics option). He is also a climate activist, environmentalist, and mental health advocate. He is a student of the Multimedia University of Kenya and served as a Chairperson of the Health and Environment Club of the Multimedia University of Kenya.
He comes from a place called Embu which is in the Mt.Kenya region and this has inspired him to take care of the beautiful nature, especially the wildlife.
He has a zeal to become one of the best conservationists working closely with environmental organizations to achieve their goals and helping the UN achieve various sustainable goals.
