Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health & Drug Awareness
Covid-19 has caused a change in livelihoods. Students went to drugs to try not to face a certain reality. They are now afraid to face the world, to face the good parents that raised them, the good parents that are now unable to raise school fees and pocket money for them. Some are now forced to play the role of parenting in their lives.
Recently, cases of students taking drugs is no news. Students deferring their studies is the new normal. Students and the community at large need awareness.
In this project, I intend to form a group of 10 young people who will help me create a drug and mental health awareness in both our varsity and community. We will be advocates of hope. We tell them that there is life after covid and yes tomorrow needs us.
