Millennium Fellowship Project: HEB's Community Empowerment

The project empowers youth and women with practical skills that can enable them to be self employed. It focuses on women in slum town areas that have no access to land, medical care and other services. These include widows, single mothers and school dropouts. This project is aimed to improve the standards of living of the people, reduce crimes such as robbery, fighting buy having the youth occupied with income bringing activities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Hellen Birungi is a third year student at Mbarara university of science and technology, pursuing a bachelor's degree of science in pharmaceutical sciences. She was born in Hoima district where she also attended her primary education. She attended secondary and high school from Merryland high school, Entebbe and Buddo Secondary school respectively. She is an entrepreneur and founder of HEB'S ORGANIC LIMITED. She is passionate about leadership and being an example to the community. She has impacted the community in research and development of herbal medicines and cosmetic science.
