" "I'm thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow because it will allow me to gain the leadership experience and confidence I need to kickstart my own initiatives in social justice and change, both by connecting me with a network of amazing global leaders to look up to and with other passionate students looking to make a mark in their communities. This will aid me in understanding further the complexities of the work I strive to do and how I can make change happen." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Human Trafficking Toolkit of Higher Education in Boston

I am developing, with the help and support of Northeastern University, my colleagues at the International Organization for Adolescents, and The Global Center on Human Trafficking at Montclair State University, a human trafficking toolkit that will aid higher education universities in the Boston-wide area in their responses to human trafficking threats on and around college campuses. The toolkit will compile a list of possible red flags and indicators of trafficking activity, Boston- and Mass-wide policies in place on trafficking and the forced movement of peoples, and appropriate student, faculty, administrator, and campus police responses to identified trafficking within a given university setting with resources and steps to follow. The goal of this project will be to propose an implementation to Northeastern University, and possibly other major colleges within Boston, of the toolkit into the university-wide policies.
