Millennium Fellowship Project: Sagyan

Project Sachet, as the name says it all is one of the finest projects led by the undergraduates of B.A.LL.B, which was held in Bhakti International Academy of Hattigauda, Kathmandu. The project dealt with providing legal literacy of the children of 12-16 age group. The project aimed to advocate the basics of civic sense, child-rights and remedial measures. Project Sachet was started with the motive to information literacy among people with special focus on children so that they are more aware of everything.
The project was held under the opportunities given by Millennium Fellowship. The team members while doing the survey, found that the teenagers of the school were unaware about the basic legal knowledge, child rights and remedial measures. While wrapping up the sessions, team members conducted a QnA session where participants showed their curiosity about the other interesting offences and their liabilities, which not only made the session fruitful but also encouraged the team members to conduct more programs as such. The project was highly appreciated by the teachers, the principal and later we came to know that even the guardians of the participators suggested school to encourage more legal literacy programs. The coordinator of the school also expressed his thankfulness towards the team members and Millennium Fellowship in enhancing the legal knowledge of kids. We hope that the Millennium Fellowship will open up many more doors for us to aid our country in new ways. Wishing everyone on the team luck in their future endeavors.
