Millennium Fellowship Project: Sagyan

Our project Sachet is about providing a legal literacy program to the secondary level school, Bhakti International Academy located in Hattigauda of Kathmandu district where we intend to provide legal awareness to the teenage students to let them how important roles law plays in the country and the society.
As the Nepali meaning of the word Sachet is aware, the main task is to make teenage students aware, though there is a strong justice system and legal institution, fundamental rights incorporated into the curriculum of the School the teenage student need to know about the legal aspects so that they can complain about the violence in the home, school or any other private or public places. We as law students have planned this project to bring positive measures to society by filling legal awareness to the future of the society who can be turned into the offender or potential victims. So to conduct this project, we aspire to coordinate with the child rights organizations, helpline providers, cyber bureau, human rights advocates, and youth. We are also starting the policy research, fundraising programs, calls for volunteers, in order to meet our financial and technical expenses for the project.
