Millennium Fellowship Project: The Beacon Health Initiative
The Beacon Health Initiative is aimed at creating awareness, communicating knowledge, and building a space for people to have wholesome health.
"Beacon" as defined, is someone giving light, guidance, and hope to people.
The project is targeted at building and restoring the hope of people of being in a wholesome state of physical, mental, and social well-being.
the initiative will go all out to generate healthy content on social media to feed the mind of people with the right information on health signs, preventive measures, oral hygiene, first aid, health myths, and facts all ensuring people are in good health and well-being.
It will organize consistent health outreaches to secondary schools, tertiary institutions, small communities, market places and more, to give guidance to people on living a healthy life for maximum productivity, attaining the highest possible success in education, and raising leaders with a passion to serve humanity and build healthy societies.
It also seeks to have all-inclusive webinars, interactive sessions, health care campaigns where questions can be answered, and have medical/dental outreaches for free medical and dental checkups.
The Beacon Health Initiative will ensure transformation in the minds of people and be a global inspiration with the outstanding feats of ensuring good health and wellbeing.
About the Millennium Fellow
Oluwagbenga Asalu is a young visionary, servant leader and dentist-in-training at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Oluwagbenga has served and still serving in various leadership capacities to build and communicate value to change people and society.
With his keen interest in research and the health and wellbeing of people, he is passionate about initiating movements towards the achievement of sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Most especially, the third SDG.
