Millennium Fellowship Project: Maternal and Child Health Week

Maternal and Child Health Week (MCH Week) is a project led by Millennium Fellow Aishat Abdulmojeed. It addresses issues of universal health care access to the vulnerable group (mothers and children). The project aims to engage major stakeholders in the healthcare space of Nigeria as well as students.
During the Fellowship period, MCH week will host a week event comprising of training, public lecture, summitt, etc. We are aiming to reach about 1000 people combined across the events.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aishat is an emerging leading personality among medical students. She is a driven individual renowned for her competence and professionalism.

In 2015, Aishat began her foray into a medical career, at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State. As a medical student, Aishat has distinguished herself by engaging in a host of extracurricular activities including politics and administration. These remarkable qualities have earned her positions across several organizations and bodies including the Nigerian Medical Student Association (NiMSA), Federation of African Medical Student Association (FAMSA), the International Federation of Medical Student Association (IFMSA), Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), among others.

Among her many roles, she currently serves as National Director of the Auwal Shanono Foundation, Assistant Young Forum Coordinator of MWAN Ogun State Chapter, Treasurer of Rotaract Club of OACHS and Director of Capacity Building Program FAMSA amongst others

Her skill set is wide and impressive, receiving training from eminent institutions on Policy and Advocacy, Capacity building, and soft skills among others.

Aishat has a keen interest in global health policy, sexual & reproductive health and rights, and also environmental health.
