" As a Millennium Fellow, I am excited to interact and build strong relationships with my university campus cohort, as well as from a global network of experts, practitioners, and resources provided to me. The Fellowship will provide me with an opportunity for positive social change, in addition to which I can gain perspective and learn to understand and examine social, political, environmental phenomena. The Fellowship will thus add value to my work and aim of working on issues of environmental justice, community health, and inclusive sustainability. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Breaking Down, Ship-Breaking Down

The project looks at the ship-breaking industry to analyse and understand its networks of stakeholders (both human and non-human). Within the project, shipbreaking is understood as an entity that includes worker rights, human and community health, demolition practices, marine and other natural ecosystems, and all other relevant factors and agents. The aim is to diagrammatically imagine the various stakeholders in the process and their impact on one another.
