Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You
The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.
The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.
The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akanbi Abigail Gbemisola is intelligent,young, zealous towards achieving good health for the community .
She is studying in Osun state university,osun state, waiting to bag her first degree in Public Health(Bsc).She was born in Nigeria(Osun state),resides in Oyo state.
Ever since she was a child,she wanted a world whereby everyone would have a good health(even without knowledge of the SDGs).
Studying in university increased her knowledge on the health of the community .She is enthusiastic towards contributing to the united Nations Sustainable Goal3 and ensuring that nations are able to achieve this goal for its citizens.
