health education and promotion in my community and also assist in achieving the sustainable
development goals. Likewise, I will gain experience from people all over the world, people with the mind of having positive impact on the world. It would be exciting to actually put my ideas into reality and make a difference. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You

The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.

The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.

The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.

About the Millennium Fellow

Adio Muizat is a young and deligent student of Osun State University. She is studying
medicine and surgery ( college of health sciences) in this prestigious University. She
was born in Nigeria and hails from Osun State, Ede South local government area but
currently resides in Abuja which is the federal capital territory of Nigeria.
For as long as she could remember, she has alway been interested in the health well-being of
people around her. This drive has always made Muizat to
volunteer for opportunities and eventd regarding the health of the people.
Throughout her stay in secondary School she joined the Red Cross Society to ensure
she learnt the basic life support skills, and she was eventually chosen to serve as the link between the students and the clinic, of her school. Currently, she has successfully organized some philanthropic projects,
such as trainings , outreaches and awareness and is presently the chairwoman of her Medical Student Association(MSA) , Health Awareness Club ; which through her outstanding leadership, plans
on continuing in the future. Muizat aspires to be a professional in her field of study, where she
can promote these advocacies further, and provide her own contribution to the United
Nations' Sustainable Goals
