" Being a Millennium Fellow is a dream come true due to the fact that Millennium Fellowship gives the best platform to actually reach out to more people. Millennium Fellowship gives me a platform to make people realize that they can always get better and that there is hope once they are still alive. Millennium Fellowship preaches all that i value as a person. Giving back to the society and one's immediate environment no matter how little is the real definition of wealth. Being a part of Millennium Fellowship gives me that consciousness and perfect environment to be relevant to the people in need of help. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You

The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.

The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.

The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.

About the Millennium Fellow

Motadegbe E Adeyemo is 300 level medicine and surgery student of the Osun state University Nigeria. Right from high school he has always been passionate about impacting the lives of people around him by engaging in various outreaches which has helped to improve the health and well-being of the beneficiaries of these outreaches. Recently he worked with University of Ibadan teaching hospital and Osun state University teaching on World Blood donors day to help campaign, create awareness as well as organize a Blood Drive that had over hundreds of students donating their blood for the use of humanity. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Osun State University Medical Student Association Health Awareness Club and the Regional Director on Capital projects and mobilization for Nigeria Medical Students Association. He is also the laison officer to several standing committees in NiMSA. Motadegbe E Adeyemo is a strong believer in humanity. He believes that investment in the lives and well-being of humans is all that matters. He recently just got an appointment into the Millennium Fellowship .
