Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You

The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.

The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.

The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.

About the Millennium Fellow

Oke Folorunso is a young, passionate and hardworking student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. He is studying public health in UNIOSUN, was born in Osun State, Nigeria and currently resides in Osogbo. For as long as he could remember, he has always been passionate about helping people, by improving their health status and he has also been passionate about gender equality. In the nearest future, he aspires to contribute positively to the society, while also contributing his bit to the achievement of the United Nation sustainable development goals.
