Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You
The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.
The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.
The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.
About the Millennium Fellow
I Lawal Nawal is a bright young eloquent medical student in Osun state University,Osogbo.I was born in Oyo state Nigeria, resides in Oyo state Nigeria and is currently studying in Osun state,Nigeria.
I have been someone who aspires to help people of the society on issues dealing or tampering with mental well being. This passion made me join the Mental Health Advocacy Campaign and I happened to be the Public relations officer for my association(OSUMSA).I planned to continue the Advocacy ams and improve people's life.
