Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You
The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.
The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.
The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.
About the Millennium Fellow
Oluwajomiloju Ruth Akinyemi is a young, growth loving and purpose driven lady. Currently, she is a medical student of Osun State University, Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. She is a native of Ado Ekiti, the capital city of Ekiti State, Nigeria. As earlier said, Oluwajomiloju because of her love for growth and impact making, saw Millennium Fellowship as a field to help achieve her passion for health growth and also provide her own contribution in the development of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
