Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health and You
The project aims to enlighten and sensitize students of Osun State University and secondary schools in Osogbo, Nigeria, on mental health and how they can take proper care of it.
The project focuses on educating students on the causes, symptoms and prevention of different forms of mental illnesses and how people can seek help from from loved ones and professional therapists to successfully manage mental illness.
The project also helps to demystify myths surrounding mental illness and discourage stigmatization and discrimination against people with mental illness.
About the Millennium Fellow
Tijani kabirat ayomide is an ambitious and brilliant young lady currently studying public health in Osun State University, Nigeria. She was born and brought up in Lagos state, Nigeria. She has been so zealous about being a leader and determined to improve the lives of people who are ignorant or unaware of sickle cell disorder through advocacy, awareness and health education .
She applied for the millelium Fellowship in order to gain the leadership skills and abilities to start this above intended project of mine. I aspire to achieve a lot in the field of public health and also in humanitarian services which will be her mini contribution to the development of the world.
